Thin Places, Thick Places Day 3

Thin Places, Thick Places (Series)

Day 3.
My tagline for this series, “Thin Places, Thick Places”, is the following: Where the sublime and sacred collide against the chaotic and practical, and a real adventure is born.

Today that concept came to fruition in a lovely and exhausting way.

The sublime moments (thin places) were: neurofeedback (to HEALTH!), a divine massage, having the packing (and painting) fairies returning, spending time with a lovely and brilliant artist friend as a family while she took our picture (as a family…which we’ve NEVER done) at our favorite outdoor place in Fort Collins, Horsetooth Reservoir.

The oh-so-thick places which provided much thickness were: our fabulous caterer somewhat jumping ship two days before a party we are planning (gulp), siblings fighting, moving boxes everywhere, my massage coming to an end, siblings fighting, my massage coming to an end, and siblings bickering.

Back to my tagline (again): Where the sublime and sacred collide against the chaotic and practical, and a real adventure is born.

Real life, folks. This is real life. Smatterings of beauty and horror all mixed into one colorful day.

To be continued…
