Thin Places, Thick Places Day 12

Thin Places, Thick Places (Series)
Day 12.
This stuff is getting real. It's the final countdown.
To this point in our countdown mama (me) has felt pretty chill about the whole international adventure/cross-country move.
Today, however, inner rumblings of growing panic began to carbonate and float to the surface. The realization that our trip is LESS than a week away hit me like a iron pan rattling my brain.
"There's STILL SO MUCH TO DO", said Panicky me to Calm me.
Calm me decided to silence panicky me and go to a lovely lovely lunch with my dear friend Brandy. Panicky me allowed that to happen but quickly brought up the rear, afterward, and created some mental and relational havoc.
My husband reclaimed the helm from Panicky me and offered some much needed encouragement to Calm me. Calm me listened and decided to go for a run with the kids. Calm me is SO SMART.
As I head into the evening with about 40 loads of laundry to finish so that we can pack wisely (our washing machine is broken and does half loads pretty darn well), packing of a house to continue, and quality time with loved ones to wrap up, Calm me is still driving the bus.
But Panicky me is putting up a good struggle to reclaim the steering wheel.
To be continued...
